A prototype of a cancelled PlayStation 2 Daredevil game, intended to be launched in 2004, has surfaced online

The Hidden Palace, the community devoted to retro video games, released the prototype of Daredevil: The Man Without Fear

An anonymous developer is said to have shared the prototype, which was then tweaked to become playable by an enthusiast, SolidSnake11

The game was a third-person action beat 'em up based on the Frank Miller Marvel superhero comic

It was being developed by 5,000 Ft Studios for the PS2, original Xbox, and PC, under publication by Encore Inc

However, conflicting demands from Sony and Marvel, along with technical issues, led to its eventual cancellation in 2004

Meanwhile, speculations abound that Daredevil may feature in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, amidst the discovery of Easter eggs hinting at Daredevil in the previous Spider-Man games

A response from an Insomniac senior creative director Bryan Intihar on the topic remained ambiguous, saying "Stay tuned"

Additionally, fans have found a secret room in Spider-Man 2 potentially linking to the Hand, a group of evil ninjas Daredevil often fights against in the comics

Separately, it's been noted that the Marvel show Daredevil: Born Again, featuring Charlie Cox reprising his role as Daredevil, has been put on pause for a creative reboot
