An upcoming movie adaptation of the horror game "Until Dawn" has unveiled its first wave of cast members. The ensemble includes Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, and Odessa A'zion. Directed by David F. Sandberg, known for "Lights Out" and "Shazam!", the film is a collaboration between Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions. Asad Qizilbash from PlayStation mentions that the adaptation aims to creatively and authentically bring the beloved game to the big screen. Set in a remote snowy mountain where eight friends must survive a terrifying night, the original "Until Dawn" was a 2015 PS4 game that helped establish Supermassive Games as a key player in the narrative-driven horror genre. The game also has two PSVR spinoffs and a spiritual successor, "The Quarry". A remaster of "Until Dawn" is also in the works for PS5 and PC, expected to release in the fall.
