Get excited, folks! The much-anticipated spinoff of "The Walking Dead" titled "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live" which focuses on characters Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (acted by Danai Gurira) has released a teaser and confirmed its premiere month - we're looking at February 2024.
The news was announced at the New York Comic Con. Even though the teaser doesn't reveal a great deal, it gives us quick shots of Rick and Michonne, making us curious about the upcoming storyline. In the voiceover, Rick's voice is heard saying, "Please know I tried. I tried, but I failed. Just know I love you."
Besides, it's confirmed that Pollyanna McIntosh is reprising her role as Jadis, whom we last saw disappearing with Rick in a helicopter in "The Walking Dead Season 9" episode titled "What Comes After". New additions to the cast include Terry O’Quinn from "Lost" as a character named Beale, and Matt Jeffries as Nat. They join the previously announced actor Lesley-Ann Brandt who'll be playing Pearl.
Images from the spinoff were also released and they sure promise an exciting run. The storyline will most likely revolve around Rick and Michonne's struggle to reunite in the walker-dominated world. Fret not if you crave more of "The Walking Dead" universe! Another spinoff, "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon," will air its Season 1 finale soon. So, gear up for a thrilling February 2024!
