Warhammer 40,000: Darktide fans have reason to celebrate as the game is set to receive a free update titled The Traitor Curse. The update is being split into two parts, with the first arriving in November 2023, and the second in December before the winter holidays. This rollout is in honor of the game's first anniversary on November 30.

The first part of The Traitor Curse introduces a new cinematic focusing on the Moebian 6th's motivations, and a fresh zone called The Carnival, which offers players exciting and fringe experiences. Alongside this, a new mission is included where players can combat the enemy within Mercantile. An additional feature in the update lets players inspect loadouts in the Mourningstar, and the veteran talent tree receives an overhaul, introducing Keystones and requiring veterans to reset their talent trees.

Details regarding the December update remain under wraps until the release of part one. Since its launch in October 2023, the game has been available on Xbox and Game Pass, granting gamers access to its intense four-player co-op at no extra charge.

Fatshark's Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been praised for its exciting co-op action, despite facing some performance issues, and has secured a strong 8/10 rating. As fans await the updates, they can look forward to more thrilling combat and strategic gameplay in the Warhammer universe.
