Warner Bros. Discovery has allowed the creators of "Coyote vs. Acme" to seek other studios for release, despite finishing filming. Previously scrapped, the film, starring John Cena, follows Wile E. Coyote and his lawyer suing Acme for faulty products. Early screenings garnered positive reactions, with some comparing it favorably to "Roger Rabbit." Prime Video, Apple, and Netflix are potential platforms being considered for the movie's release. The film was originally intended as an HBO Max exclusive as a part of Warner Bros.' shift towards theatrical experiences, leading to a sizable tax write-off. "Coyote vs. Acme" was co-written by James Gunn and planned to debut in July 2023.
