Skull Island: Rise of Kong presents players with the opportunity to play as Kong, who is seeking revenge for his parent's death by saurian terror Gaw. The game's release also marks the first new King Kong game in 18 years, succeeding Ubisoft's well-received Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie from 2005.

To the gaming community's disappointment, the game has fallen short of fans’ nostalgic memories and expectations.
