Longtime World of Warcraft players familiar with the notorious Karazhan Crypts might soon have the opportunity to explore this once-cut content. Known for its eerie atmosphere, the Karazhan Crypts was a hidden area full of bones and creepy locations such as the Pit of Criminals and the Upside-Down Sinners. Though its purpose was never fully explained by developers, it has now been hinted at a revamp during a deep dive into changes slated for World of Warcraft: Classic.

The tease came at the end of a discussion on the upcoming Season of Discovery, a season introducing unusual revamps to classes, raids, and bosses. A slide showcased three teasers, with one image hinting at the return of the Karazhan Crypts. There is speculation that the Crypts are being transformed into a dungeon or raid for a future Season of Discovery.

On another note, Blizzard announced a trilogy of upcoming expansions titled The Worldsoul Saga at BlizzCon 2023. The first expansion, The War Within, is expected to be released next year. World of Warcraft: Classic will also introduce the Cataclysm expansion alongside the Season of Discovery.
