The recent Xbox Developer Direct has unveiled a slew of exciting announcements for gamers, highlighting key titles such as Ninja Gaiden 4, which marks the return of the beloved franchise after more than a decade. Developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, this installment will feature Ryu Hayabusa alongside a new protagonist, Yakumo, from the Raven Clan. Set in a transformed Tokyo plagued by the Dark Dragon's chaos, players will experience dynamic gameplay through Yakumo’s unique abilities, including the newly introduced "Bloodraven Form" for powerful combat options. Along with Ninja Gaiden 4, the event also confirmed the release date for South of Midnight, set for April 8, 2025, and offered gamers immediate access to Ninja Gaiden 2 Black through Xbox Game Pass.

What new features will be in Ninja Gaiden 4?

Ninja Gaiden 4 will introduce Yakumo, a new character equipped with abilities such as high-speed navigation using rail systems and wire-based actions. A significant gameplay mechanic will be the "Bloodraven Form," allowing players to utilize blood manipulation for devastating attacks, including the lethal "Bloodbath Kill."

Ninja Gaiden is a well-known action-adventure franchise that has captivated gamers since its original release in the early 1980s, featuring fast-paced combat and intricate level designs. This latest installment aims to honor its legacy while bringing innovative gameplay mechanics to a newer audience, further solidifying its status as a staple in the action genre.
