Jan 03, 2024 3:31 PM

Microsoft has unveiled its first wave of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass titles for January 2024, expanding the subscription service's game library with a mix of genres and popular franchises to kick off the year. Subscribers can anticipate the addition of 'Close to the Sun' on January 3rd, followed by 'Hell Let Loose' and the massive open-world Viking saga 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' on January 4th and January 9th respectively. Other noteworthy inclusions are 'Figment', 'Super Mega Baseball 4', 'We Happy Few', and the intense survival horror 'Resident Evil 2', all joining the roster in the first half of the month. These games will be available across cloud, console, and PC platforms. However, it's not all good news, as titles such as 'Grand Theft Auto 5', 'Garden Story', 'MotoGP 22', plus 'Persona 4 Golden', and 'Persona 3 Portable' will be leaving the Game Pass libraries on January 5th and 15th respectively.

Which games are leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in January 2024?

'Grand Theft Auto 5' will be removed from the subscription service on January 5th, and 'Garden Story', 'MotoGP 22', 'Persona 4 Golden', and 'Persona 3 Portable' will follow suit on January 15th.

'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' is part of the critically acclaimed Assassin's Creed franchise developed by Ubisoft. The series is renowned for combining historical settings with action-adventure and stealth gameplay. 'Valhalla' takes players to the Viking era and features a vast open-world filled with raids, fortresses to conquer, and a rich story set within the myth and history of Norse culture.
