Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead will exist in the same universe according to a recent interview with the filmmaker by Total Film. The unproduced Army of the Dead TV series, greenlit by Netflix in 2020, would have served as a prequel to the movie and included characters from Rebel Moon. Rebel Moon, described as a sci-fi space adventure, shares certain sci-fi elements with Army of the Dead, such as robot zombies. Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire will be released on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
