Charlie Cox over the future of Daredevil: Born Again

Focusing on Daredevil

Cox spoke during an episode of the podcast Happy, Sad, Confused about the rumors surrounding his possible involvement in future Avengers projects. He has repeatedly denied that he will appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars , and that also applies to the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day .

"Marvel has made it pretty clear to me that my focus for now is absolutely on the show," Cox said. "That’s where our attention is. That’s really the truth." This suggests that both Cox and Marvel are committed to further developing Daredevil: Born Again , which seems to be paving the way for a broader focus on the street-level side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Filming and future

At the moment, Daredevil: Born Again is in production on its third season. The series also serves as a platform for other popular street-level characters, such as The Punisher and Jessica Jones. Despite a drop in viewership, Marvel appears to be keeping Daredevil more self-contained, away from the bigger Avengers storylines.
