Dungeons & Dragons launches official actual play show

Wizards of the Coast has announced that Dungeons & Dragons is getting an official actual play show titled "Dungeon Masters." The show will feature voices from well-known Baldur's Gate 3 actors, including Neil Newbon, best known as Astarion, and Devora Wilde, the voice of Lae'zel. However, these actors will not be reprising their old roles; instead, they will help introduce viewers to new D&D material launching over the coming months.

Cast and participants

Alongside Newbon and Wilde, several other participants will be at the table. The show also welcomes Jasmine Bhullar from DesiQuest, Mayanna Berrin from Dispatch, and Christian Navarro, known from 13 Reasons Why. This group will focus on the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons expansions, starting with the release of "Ravenloft: The Horrors Within."

D&D's seasonal model

"Dungeon Masters" is the latest initiative from Wizards of the Coast, fitting into the new seasonal model for the D&D franchise. The show's first season will be thematically aligned with the new "Season of Horror," with "Ravenloft: The Horrors Within" serving as the core release. The season is meant to give players and viewers a unique and exciting experience as they discover the new horrors within the D&D universe.

Digital Play-Along Packs

To support the adventure, digital Play-Along Packs will be available through D&D Beyond. These packs will include encounters released alongside each weekly episode of "Dungeon Masters" for customers who have preordered "Ravenloft." The first encounter pack will be free and will let players experience the Zombie Clot and the Swarm of Zombie Limbs at no cost, weeks before "Ravenloft" officially launches.
