Free PS Plus games for May 2026 are now available

The latest batch of free PlayStation Plus games for May 2026 is now available for all subscribers worldwide. Members of any of the three PlayStation Plus tiers—Essential, Extra, and Premium—can now claim three new PS4 and PS5 games to keep forever, as long as they are claimed before June 2, 2026 and the user remains subscribed to one of the available PlayStation Plus tiers.

New games for May 2026

Today, May 5, 2026, PlayStation Plus subscribers have the chance to claim new titles, including EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols. These are the only free games for this month for subscribers at the lowest tier, Essential. Extra and Premium subscribers, however, have plenty more titles on the way.

What to expect

In April 2026, subscribers were able to enjoy several popular titles, including Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream. These games are no longer available to claim, but anyone who claimed them earlier can keep playing as long as they remain subscribed.

EA Sports FC 26 is the latest entry in EA’s hugely popular football simulator, which has earned a positive average Metacritic score of 77. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers a challenging Soulslike experience, while Nine Sols is a 2D action-platformer inspired by Sekiro’s gameplay, complete with rich lore and hand-drawn visuals.

Changes to the game lineup

Keep in mind that each month’s new additions to the catalog usually come with some removals as well. While the full list of upcoming additions for May 2026 has not yet been confirmed, we learned in April that titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, and Football Manager 26 Console were added to PS Plus Extra. In May 2026, however, five games will leave the PS Plus Extra catalog on May 19: Control: Ultimate Edition, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, Soul Hackers 2, Sand Land, and Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition. These games will no longer be available to subscribers once they are removed from the catalog.
