Judas and BioShock 4 still a long way off

Intelligence Summary
- Take-Two updates on Judas and BioShock 4: neither game is expected to release within the next year.
Two new Take-Two titles: Judas and BioShock 4 still not in sight
While Take-Two Interactive prepares for a busy fiscal year with the upcoming launch of GTA VI on 19 November 2026, two of its most anticipated titles, Judas and BioShock 4, remain firmly under the radar. Both games are not expected for at least the next 12 months, according to Take-Two’s quarterly and annual reporting.
Take-Two’s financial outlook
Following the quarterly report published on 21 May 2026, Take-Two announced that total net bookings for the quarter came in at $1.58 billion, flat year over year. For the full year, however, net bookings rose 19% to $6.72 billion. That’s a positive sign for shareholders, especially with GTA VI’s upcoming release expected to help push net bookings to between $8 billion and $8.2 billion in the coming year.
GTA V has now sold nearly 230 million copies, while Red Dead Redemption 2 has had its best year since launch and has now sold more than 85 million copies. That puts Red Dead Redemption 2 as the fourth best-selling game of all time, ahead of Wii Sports.
Status of Judas and BioShock 4
Both Judas and BioShock 4 are still listed as TBA on Take-Two’s release schedule. The two titles are following their own development paths. Judas has been in development for more than a decade, which already signals the complex challenges facing the developers, including BioShock creator Ken Levine.
BioShock 4 began development in 2019, but its progress has also not been without setbacks. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has publicly expressed disappointment with the pace of development. It’s therefore not surprising that the company is choosing to push these titles further out, perhaps to avoid competing with GTA VI given the overlap in audience.
Take-Two’s upcoming releases
For the next fiscal year, Take-Two has plans for six new titles outside of GTA VI, including two mobile games and three sports games: NBA 2K27, PGA TOUR 2K27 and WWE 2K27. This shows that while Judas and BioShock 4 remain in the background, Take-Two is focusing on other popular franchises and genres to maximize attention and revenue.
In fiscal years ’28 and ’29, Take-Two says it is prioritizing more than 13 existing intellectual properties, including seven sequels and six remakes or remasters. That paints a future in which fans will have plenty of options, even as anticipation for Judas and BioShock 4 continues.
