LEGO confirms Dragon Ball Z collab with September 22 teaser

The teaser strongly points to an initial set centered on Shenron, the dragon who appears in Dragon Ball lore when all seven Dragon Balls have been gathered. LEGO has not yet revealed a price, piece count, or release date.

The official LEGO page now describes the line as a new LEGO Dragon Ball set that is “on its way,” but it still does not show full product details.

What happened

LEGO and TOEI Animation shared a teaser on September 22 for a Dragon Ball Z LEGO line. In the video, six Dragon Balls are shown first, then a seventh ball is added. The caption reads: “Ready to make a wish?” That confirms the collaboration itself, but not the full contents of the first set.

Based on the footage, the first set appears to revolve around Shenron. That is not yet a full product reveal: LEGO has not officially confirmed the set contents, piece count, or sale date. The official LEGO page for the collaboration does say that “the epic new LEGO Dragon Ball set is on its way,” which confirms that at least one product is in development.

The teaser also seems to confirm that the line is aimed at adults. That fits LEGO’s Adults Welcome approach for display and collector sets, and matches how LEGO presents the collaboration on its own site under that label. Even so, there is still no full product page with an age rating, price, or set number.

So far, the available information mainly shows that the collaboration is official, that the first visual hint centers on the seven Dragon Balls and Shenron, and that LEGO has not yet published a complete product sheet. Rumors that surfaced earlier in June already pointed to a possible wave of Dragon Ball sets in 2027.
