Paramount Pictures presents new films at CinemaCon 2026

Paramount Pictures took the stage at CinemaCon 2026 to tease a slate of upcoming movies. The presentation, which unfortunately wasn’t livestreamed, promised highlights from titles like Street Fighter , Scary Movie , Jackass 5 , Children of Blood and Bone , Sonic the Hedgehog 4 , Paranormal Activity 8 , and A Quiet Place Part III . New TMNT films are also in the works.

Overview of the presentation

The presentation opened with David Ellison, CEO of Paramount Skydance, welcoming the audience and speaking about the expected Warner Bros. acquisition. Ellison confirmed that once both companies are merged, the goal is to release at least 30 new films per year across the two studios.

One of the big takeaways was Paramount’s commitment to a minimum 45-day theatrical window. The current plan is to make films available on streaming services after 90 days.

Franchises and new titles

Alongside various film snippets, the studio also shared updates on established franchises. Paramount is developing new entries in Star Trek , G.I. Joe , Transformers , Top Gun , World War Z , and Possession . Director James Mangold also expanded on The High Side , a film starring Timothée Chalamet , and a Call of Duty movie is in development, though details remain limited.

Film updates and a look at Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 showed its first footage, with quick glimpses of Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Amy. The clip also featured Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik , venting his frustration after breaking through a vault door.

Updates on specific projects

For A Quiet Place Part III , John Krasinski appeared to share a brief update, saying the team is heading to some exciting new locations. As for the Call of Duty movie, a short teaser was shown using game footage, backed by the iconic music of Seven Nation Army . The film is set to release on June 30, 2028.

Looking ahead to the next movie year, Paramount appears ready to push hard with multiple major franchises in development and new original content on the way.
