The Pokémon Company said that 75 billion cards had been distributed worldwide by May 2025. The recent surge in card production is partly due to the popularity of the Scarlet & Violet–Prismatic Evolutions set, which includes a large number of different product packages. However, this steady stream of releases has still not been enough to keep up with demand.
Availability issues
