First look at Sonic the Hedgehog 4 at CinemaCon 2026

Paramount has unveiled a first glimpse of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 at CinemaCon 2026, held in Las Vegas. The event is a major showcase for the film industry, where studios can present upcoming projects to a select audience.

Teaser trailer revealed

The teaser trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 mostly featured footage from the earlier Sonic films. Among the highlights was a shocking reintroduction of Jim Carrey's character, Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik, staggering out of a spacecraft. In the trailer, Robotnik also shouted: "Robotnik...saves...world!" This suggests the character, who previously made a heroic sacrifice at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, is still alive.

Even so, there is speculation that Robotnik could still end up fighting alongside Sonic and his friends, something he has done in earlier entries as well. That makes the situation even more interesting, given his history of temporary alliances.
