In Ubisoft's latest game, Assassin's Creed Mirage, an Easter egg awaits players in the form of a cat sporting an impressive Assassin's Creed logo on its nose. This tidbit was discovered and shared on Reddit by user suckashelfboi101, who posted a screenshot showing our hero, Basim, cradling an enormous fluffy cat with a facial marking that bears an uncanny resemblance to the pointed Assassin's Creed emblem. The game is peppered with many cats, but these special felines with the logo on their noses are more than just decorative; when petted, these furballs give away items to players. According to fan group Scholars of the Creed on Twitter, the cat with the specially marked nose is supposedly a homage to an Assassin’s Creed superfan's real-life cat, which sports a similar marking. Launched on October 5, Assassin's Creed Mirage revisits the franchise's roots with slower, stealth-based gameplay and a smaller world, which contrasts with the RPG style of recent games like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Despite its smaller size - requiring only about 20 to 30 hours to complete - IGN rates it with a solid 8/10 and deems the game a triumph in returning to the series' primary stealth focus.
