Ubisoft Claims Assassin's Creed Mirage's Player Base is Comparable to Origins and Odyssey at Launch

Oct 11, 2023 8:14 PM

Ubisoft has shared some exciting information about the launch of its new game, Assassin's Creed Mirage. The game's player count is on par with the launches of its previous titles, Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey. Ubisoft thanks all the players for their warm reception of the Assassin's Creed return to its roots.

To show their appreciation, they shared some unique statistics about the players' activities in the game's first week. Would you believe that gamers have pet 1.2 million street cats in that time? They've also spent the total equivalent of 479 years running and jumping across the rooftops in Baghdad's 9th century setting.

Ubisoft is proud to announce that Mirage has been their most successful new-generation launch in terms of unit sales. The game doesn't skimp on content, either, with the average playtime being around 20-23 hours - a striking difference from the expansive worlds of Valhalla and Odyssey.

These reports come amid player discoveries of neat Easter eggs within the game, such as street cats with markings similar to the Assassin's Creed logo. They have also taken a whopping 60 million Leaps of Faith.

IGN, a popular gaming and entertainment website, rated Assassin's Creed Mirage an 8 out of 10, praising its successful return to the series' stealth focus. They have created helpful game guides for new players entering the 9th-century Baghdad setting and provided additional insights for those who've completed the game.
