Danganronpa Creators Unveil The Hundred Line – A New School Nightmare

The creators of Danganronpa have announced their next game, The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-, set to release on Nintendo Switch in early 2025. Combining elements of Danganronpa’s visual novel gameplay and Fire Emblem’s turn-based combat, this new title plunges players into a nightmare-filled school setting with 100 despair-filled endings. As protagonist Takumi Sumino, players must navigate a world turned chaotic by monstrous attacks, taking inspiration from dark narratives similar to Persona. The game will also be available on PC, with no current plans for a PlayStation or Xbox release.

The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- blends Danganronpa's visual novel storytelling with Fire Emblem’s turn-based, battlefield combat. Players can experience multiple dramatic and despair-filled endings while managing their team and navigating the narrative’s dark twists.
