Stig Asmussen, known for directing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, is parting ways with Respawn Entertainment. As noted by Bloomberg and later verified by EA, Asmussen has chosen to seek "other adventures," although the specifics behind this departure after a decade at Respawn aren't disclosed.

Surprisingly, Asmussen stated earlier this year he wished to make the Star Wars Jedi series a trilogy. The third installment could already be in the works, as hinted by some job postings. However, Asmussen's exit does not signify the game's cancellation. Veteran Respawn leaders are stepping in to continue development on "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."

Before joining Respawn, Asmussen was a prominent figure in the God of War series, starting as a lead environment artist, advancing to art director, and eventually serving as game director for the series' third entry.
