Fans of the popular show “Gen V” recently discovered an exciting Easter egg in the third season of "The Boys", another hit series on Prime Video. In information linked to a key character from the spin-off series Gen V, viewers spotted a subtle reference to Marie Moreau, a character depicted by Jaz Sinclair in Gen V.
The first three episodes of Gen V, featuring a whole new cast and characters, were unveiled on September 29. Sinclair brings to life the character of Marie Moreau, an 18-year-old superhero with the power to control and weaponize her own blood.
In a surprising twist, some viewers found a discrete reference to Marie Moreau in the second episode of The Boys' third season. In a scene where Hughie drops by at the Red River Institute, an orphanage for supers, viewers noticed a mention of Marie in the records.
Fans of both shows discussed the fascinating Easter egg on platforms like X and Reddit. Adding to the intrigue, The Boys' creator Eric Kripke and Gen V’s showrunner Michele Fazekas informed Collider that both shows exist in the same universe, allowing for potential crossover references between the series.
Fazekas revealed: "Marie has already shown up in The Boys". As long as viewers needn't watch the other series to understand the one they're watching, the creators welcome such connections, catered thoughtfully for their dedicated fanbase.
The first four episodes of Gen V are currently available to stream on Prime Video. IGN’s review of these episodes lauds the engaging storytelling with twists and turns that leave viewers eagerly craving for answers.
