Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that a sequel to the blockbuster video game Hogwarts Legacy is in the works, making it one of the top priorities for the company in the coming years. Following its impressive sales of over 24 million copies and more than $1 billion in revenue since its launch in February 2023, the success of Hogwarts Legacy has prompted this decision. Warner Bros. Discovery chief financial officer Gunnar Wiedenfels highlighted the significance of expanding their gaming portfolio, especially after a recent setback with the problematic launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which notably impacted company revenue. The gaming division remains a strategic asset for Warner Bros., which is also working on various projects, including a Quidditch game and a Wonder Woman video game.
