CD Projekt Red appears to have added a small but intriguing detail into Cyberpunk 2077's blockbuster Phantom Liberty DLC, with Idris Elba's character, Solomon Reed, making his appearance even before gamers start the DLC. Phantom Liberty, a highly-anticipated expansion of the game, introduces Reed as a covert operative.

However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that you can encounter Reed even before playing the DLC. A gamer posted a screenshot on the game's subreddit that shows a character bearing a striking resemblance to Reed, both in physical appearance and cyber augmentations.

Another interesting snippet is a line of dialogue from Reed, revealing that he moonlights as a bouncer in one of the Night City's clubs. In line with this, players claim to have spotted him at a bar named the Malted Iguana Liquors, though his appearances seem to vary.

In addition to this, some gamers claim to have spotted another new character, Song So Mi, also known as Songbird, in various locations across Night City.

Released earlier this week, Phantom Liberty has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and has been commended for adding depth to the base game, which also received its 2.0 update, improving the skill tree and implementing several tweaks and fixes. Therefore, this discovery of Reed's sneaky appearance beforehand adds an extra layer of excitement to an already well-received expansion.
