Red Dead Redemption Now Supports 60 FPS on PS5

The widely cherished Western-style adventure, Red Dead Redemption, is now equipped to support a performance of up to 60 Frames Per Second (FPS) on PlayStation 5. This enhancement is aimed at delivering a more fluid and engaging gaming experience to players, allowing them to delve deeper into the game's captivating universe and narrative.

The 60 FPS support surfaced with the latest Title Update 1.03. On installing the update and relaunching the game, players will witness a revised setting, introducing the framerate boost feature. The update also carries the provision to turn on subtitles.

Apart from availability on PlayStation 5, gamers can enjoy Red Dead Redemption and its extension Undead Nightmare on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 platforms, courtesy of backward compatibility. Alongside, players can manually activate the 60 FPS functionality on PS5 by navigating to the display segment in the options menu and choosing "Performance Mode."

Although the enhancement is exclusive to PlayStation 5, the support enhances responsiveness and immersion, providing a refreshingly improved way to revisit the game. The title still operates at a constant 30 FPS rate on the PlayStation 4 and other platforms.
