Developer Colossal Order is working on solutions to the performance issues encountered with the PC version of Cities: Skylines 2. The company announced this through a Reddit AMA. The developer previously mentioned that the game's performance at release would not be at the desired level. The PC version of the game was officially released yesterday. Colossal Order shared that it is working on patches to resolve stuttering images caused by a synchronization issue, which largely depends on the type of CPU used and the way a player's city is built. The game's GPU performance also needs to improve by reducing the number of vertices that need to be processed per frame. Cities: Skylines 2 is now available for PC. The PS5, and Xbox Series versions of the game have been postponed until spring 2024.
