A recent minor patch from Bethesda addresses a few significant bugs across all platforms of the game Starfield, which are notably affecting quest progress. The patch improves both graphics and performance while including several bug fixes. It rectifies problems like misplaced characters disrupting quests and incorrect access to vendor's entire inventory. For better visuals, it also clears up issues related to blurred textures due to faulty upscaling and incorrect rendering of lens flare on AMD GPUs.

An unusual problem addressed by the patch is the in-ship mannequins essentially 'stealing' players' objects, leading to their disappearance. The bug which made Razorleaf Storage Containers and Weapon Racks 'eat' stored items when the player took control of another ship has also been resolved.

The patch also promises to enhance the stability and performance of the Hand Scanner which had been causing hitching in the game. However, there is no confirmed timeline for the release of the first major Starfield patch, which is expected to introduce a myriad of improvements, including DLSS support, an FOV slider, PC HDR support, brightness/contrast controls, and an instant food-eating button that bypasses menu navigation.
