The upcoming game "Super Mario Bros. Wonder" was leaked online a week before its official release. Images and videos showing parts of the game, which had not been officially released, began appearing on the internet last Friday. The leaks show that the entire game was shared through ROM websites and was even streamed briefly on Twitch. Those who want to be surprised by the platformer are advised to avoid potential spoilers.

"Super Mario Bros. Wonder" is a 2D platformer with a different look from the "New Super Mario Bros." series. The game features a unique item, the Wonder Flower, which triggers unusual events, even transforming pipes into living things or changing the appearances of Mario and his friends. A new power-up will allow Mario to turn into Elephant-Mario. Players can also play with characters Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, and Luigi.

In a significant development, Charles Martinet, who has been Mario's voice since the early 90s, beginning with Super Mario 64, has passed on his role. Martinet also provided the voices of other Mario-related characters like Luigi and Wario. The reason for the change was not given. It has been clarified that Kevin Afghani will be voicing Mario and Luigi in "Super Mario Bros. Wonder."

The game will officially be launched this coming Friday on Nintendo Switch. According to author Michel Musters, who has been a part of Gamer.nl since 2007, he is eagerly awaiting the improbable launch of a new Wave Race in addition to the news on the latest developments.
