Take-Two Sues PlayerAuctions Over Alleged GTA Online Hacks

Take-Two Interactive, the owner of Rockstar Games, has filed a lawsuit against PlayerAuctions for facilitating the sale of hacked content and accounts for GTA Online and Grand Theft Auto V. The lawsuit accuses the marketplace of knowingly hosting thousands of unauthorized listings that include hacked player accounts, in-game assets, and currency acquired through cheating, with Take-Two seeking damages and a permanent injunction to prevent PlayerAuctions from continuing its operations in regard to these listings. This action comes as part of a broader crackdown on illegal activities surrounding digital marketplaces, with PlayerAuctions facing similar accusations from other companies such as Roblox.
