The latest update for Halo Infinite is promising a whole lot of excitement as Season 5, also known as Reckoning, approaches. Anticipated just before the multiplayer mode's second anniversary, it's packed full of new content along with several updates to enhance your gaming experience. Some of the most exciting features include two all-new Arena Maps. The first, 'Forbidden', encourages intense short and mid-range battles, while the second map, 'Prism', set in a crystal mining site of the alien alliance, the Covenant, offers plenty of opportunities for long-range combat amidst a landscape dotted with old mining equipment and environmental hazards. For fans of previous Halo games, there's some thrilling news: Extraction, the popular game mode from Halo 4, is making a comeback. Both of the new maps, Forbidden and Prism, are compatible with this mode. Additionally, Firefight: King of the Hill, a new PvE option, will also be part of Season 5, although it won't be available at the season launch. As we dive deeper into the spooky season, the battle pass in Reckoning will offer cosmetics inspired by Halo's eerie alien hivemind, The Flood. Skilled players can look forward to earning the Master Chief's armor from Halo Infinite's campaign mode: The Infinite Mark VI Armor. This update also introduces a new AI toolkit to Forge Mode, encouraging gamers to test their creativity and push the game's engine to its boundaries. While a comprehensive list of updates, including patch notes, has yet to be released, the game developers at 343 Industries have promised adjustments to the Battle Pass progression, cosmetics, menus, and more.
