Cookie Run: Kingdom and KPop Demon Hunters collaboration officially kicks off

The collaboration between Cookie Run: Kingdom and KPop Demon Hunters has officially launched. At first glance, it may seem like an unusual crossover between a game about cute treats and a film about K-pop music, but it makes more sense when you consider that Cookie Run: Kingdom developer Devsisters is based in South Korea. The collaboration not only promotes both productions, but also highlights the Korean influences and elements Devsisters has woven into its strategy RPG.

Previous collaborations

The KPop Demon Hunters collaboration is not the first time the game has teamed up with the K-pop world. A previous event was entirely dedicated to BTS , allowing players to unlock the band members as playable cookies of a special class.

Player experience and rewards

Big collaborations are something fans look forward to with every new update, since they usually come with extra rewards and special items that players can only obtain for a limited time. This time, players can take part in a special event called "Decorate Your Kingdom," running from April 15 to April 22. Players can submit a screenshot of their decorated Kingdom, and 20 winners will be selected from all entries to receive KPop Demon Hunters merchandise, as well as 3,000 Cookie Run: Kingdom crystals and 1,500 rainbow cubes. Winners will be announced on April 27.

In-game content and new characters

The collaboration also brings characters from the popular film into the game. Members of Huntrix have been turned into playable cookies in Cookie Run: Kingdom, alongside other characters such as the Saja Boys , Derpy , and Sussie . In addition, special episodes and new in-game content have been released, integrating the animated film’s story into the game world so players can experience the reimagined narrative for themselves.

With a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters announced, and Cookie Run: Kingdom’s story continuing through upcoming updates, fans of both titles can look forward to further expansion of their favorite universes. While collaborations like this are not part of official canon, they offer unique combinations and surprises for both communities.
